For over 50 years, the chips fly during Father's Day weekend in Encampment as loggers come from all over the country to compete for the title of Rocky Mountain Champion Lumberjack.  Using power saws, axes and hand saws, men and women competitors cut down “trees”, chop logs and saw squared wood blocks in half, racing the clock for the fastest time.  Cowboys ride bulls and broncs.  This unique Wyoming event assures a good time will be had by all.  Sponsored by Encampment-Riverside Lions Club.  For more info about the Jamboree, please call Ron Harvey 970-210-2955 or email woodchoppers@rocketmail.com.

*Parade Saturday at 9 am.  Starts in Encampment and proceeds through Riverside. 

*Wood Chopping events begin 10 am Saturday and 9 am Sunday.

*Wyoming Rodeo Association sanctioned Rodeo begins Saturday and Sunday 1:30 pm. 
 

Grand Encampment Opera Company

The Grand Encampment Opera House will be rocking with laughter at 7 pm June 17, 19 and 20.  'Boo' and 'Hiss' at the villain and cheer for the hero during this annual favorite.  Admission to the melodrama is by donation.
