Root for the home team—flag football between law enforcement and fire department
 
10:00am-5:00pm- Platte Valley Arts Festival at Platte Valley Community Center
            Regional art show and sale with something for everyone.  Admission is by donation
 
10:00am-3:00pm - Auto Show-west Bridge Street, downtown
The Platte Valley Knights Car Club showcases custom cars, motorcycles, old farm trucks, 1940’s sedans and so much more!
 
11:00am-2:00pm- Concert at “The Yard” Susan Gibson and Jay Shogren

4:00pm-9:00pm- Friendship Day & BBQ at Veterans Island Park
            Saratoga High School cultural club serving a barbeque.  Bring a lawn chair and the kids-- enjoy the afternoon visiting with old friends and new neighbors and sing some karoke!  Free swimming at the pool from 4-8 pm.
 
 
Wednesday, July 4

6:00am-10:00am-Free Pancake Breakfast at fire station on Spring Street
Donations will be appreciated by the volunteer department as they are raising funds for new equipment.  
 
6:30am- Cancer Walk/ “Color” Run
Saratoga High School Skills USA students have organized this Cancer Walk for the past few years.  Honor a friend or family member and register for $20 per person.  Registration is held at PVCC.  All proceeds will be donated to local cancer funds.
 
11:00am-Parade
Dozens of fun floats travel along the highway in downtown Saratoga.  The route begins at the south end of town on Walnut Street and continues to Bridge Street and then turns east.  If you would like to enter the parade, line-up begins at 10:30 and you must call the American Legion Post #54 at 307-326-9600 by July3 to participate.
 
Immediately after parade-
Old Fashioned Bake Auction
Live auction of homemade pies, cakes, cookies, bread and other goodies on the corner of Bridge Street downtown.  Proceeds go to the Platte Valley Kiwanis Club for their community projects!
Gun Raffle Announced
American Legion will draw winners for their gun raffle.  Guns and tickets are available at American Legion Post.  Proceeds will benefit Tyler Pickett Park.
 
12:00-2:30pm- BBQ by American Legion Post #54 at American Legion Post
American Legion will be serving a BBQ by donation. Funds raised will benefit Tyler Pickett Park project.
 
4:00-8:00pm- BBQ by American Legion Post #54 Veterans Island Park
American Legion will be serving a BBQ by donation and cash bar will be available. Funds raised will benefit Tyler Pickett Park project.

Live music, games, and family fun. Don’t forget your lawn chairs!

Free interactive art workshop for elementary-aged children.  Glitter, paint, cut, glue, sculpt and create!  Workshop is sponsored by the Platte Valley Arts Council.  Be sure to take your finished pieces home with you!
 
around 9:00pm-Fireworks
Fireworks will be launched in Saratoga courtesy of the Old Baldy Club.  One of the best places to watch them is from Kathy Glode Park on Constitution Ave.  The Town of Encampment sponsors the fireworks launched from McClure Field in Encampment.

7:00 pm- Platte River Rodeo Association Rodeo at Buck Springs Arena
Featuring barrel racing, bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling and bull riding. Kids activities include mutton bustin, and boot races.  Admission is $7, kids under 6 are free
