Saratoga Library-History Event
Library enrichment program
To feature ‘Mineral Hot Springs’
Did you miss the recent history trek of the “Mineral Hot Springs”?
Fret not! Saratoga’s Friends of the Library will present a special slide program, and maybe a video, concerning the subject Thursday, June 8, at 7 p.m. in the Saratoga Branch Library.
Saratoga historian and tour guide Dick Perue will share photos and historical information concerning the Indian Bath Tubs, first buildings at Warm Springs (now Saratoga), Paulson’s Medicinal Well, Spotted Dog Saloon & Owl Café, Wrangler’s Cabin, Cadwell’s Island (now Veteran’s)—home of the famous fish fries in early 1900s, first bridge across Upper North Platte River, Hobo Pool, Saratoga State Park, and much more.
The event is open to the public with admission by donation. Proceeds benefit Friends of Saratoga Library projects including purchase of a new projector and screen which will be used for the first time during the presentation. Cookies and goodies will be served.
Hopefully a video of the Saratoga Museum history trek Saturday, June 3, will be available to share with attendees.
